The Kabul University’s Quality Assurance Committee Meeting

The meeting of Kabul University Quality Assurance Committee was held on Saturday, July 31st 2021 under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Osman Babury Chancellor of Kabul University by the presence of Professor Mohammad Shafi Sharifi, Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs, and head and members of the Quality Assurance Committee.
During the meeting; the Chancellor of Kabul University emphasized on improving the quality of education at Kabul University. Dr. Babury said that quality assurance is one of the main elements in the scientific and academic places of the country and we all have responsibility to improve the quality assurance in Kabul University. The Chancellor of Kabul University asked the Quality Assurance Committee to prepare a comprehensive plan in which the priorities are considered, to improve the quality of teaching at Kabul University, so that the Governing Board of Kabul University cooperates with the Quality Assurance Committee.
During the meeting, Professor Mohammad Shafi Sharifi, Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs of Kabul University, while emphasizing on the need to improve the quality assurance of teaching at Kabul University, said: "The Quality Assurance Committee is committed to making positive changes, but there are problems and challenges. But we are trying to turn quality assurance into a culture at the level of departments, faculties, Kabul University and even for every professor, and when we do that, the quality assurance problems will certainly be reduced."
At the end of the meeting of the Quality Assurance Committee, Associated Professor Sayeed Sakhi Ahmad Sultani, head of the Quality Assurance of Kabul University, said that the committee is looking for change and mobility and has launched a survey based on the findings of the survey. The committee is proposing a solution led by Kabul University to take action.
The issue of quality assurance is one of the most important issues in the country's higher education institutions. This process is successful and effective when there is no serious problem and students are satisfied with the quality of education in educational institutions.
