Teaching and Students Evaluation Methods

Teaching Methods:

The chemistry faculty try to apply the best learning and teaching methods using the available facilities. In order to advance development aims in providing educational services, chemistry faculty has taken the following steps:

  1. teaching with modern technology and using video, PowerPoint, diagram, and simulation in lectures,
  2. installing projectors and building stage in classes for more productivity of is students from lesson
  3. conducting experiments and receiving data by the students themselves
  4. introducing students to institutions and organizations outside the university to prepare their thesis
  5. Continues revision of the curriculum and applying of evaluation results in the teaching process and consideration of necessary topics in the curriculum
  6. adapting the credit system
  7. adapting new experiences
  8. considering the reasons of education and implementing did result based educational system in the curriculum
  9. employing students for trade seminars
  10. solving problems by the professors themselves
  11. presentation of programs sports competitions, and scientific reading competitions
  12. providing seminars and capacity building workshops for ece students
  13. Gradual and regular adaption of student- centered method  according to the OBE-SCL system  according to the facilities

Student Evaluation Method:

The elevation criteria of the course is based on credit and the final score is 100 which includes attendance, assignment, 20% exam,, practical exam and the final exam. in addition to the activities inside the class, the participants carry out some activities outside the class and under the title of workshop and their results are practically implemented in the glass by giving a seminar or presentation independently. Subject evaluation is done in different forms; daily, monthly, in the middle of the semester, and at the end of the semester

1- Daily behavioural evaluation: this evaluation is done under the title of belt activities through active participation of students in the course and analysis of the discussed topics, participation in class discussions, appropriate behaviour with the teacher and fellow classmates, and compliance with the rules and order and discipline of the class and university.

 it should be noted that the scrolls of this assessment above the total student squirts have their own effect

2- Homework evaluation of projects and seminars

3- Med-term exam: this evaluation is done in the 8th week by taking an official exam under the title of med-term exam that leads 20 marks.

4- Quizzes or in-class exams and research in the field in a practical way: this evaluation is done during a semester without prior notice, and in the case of research in the field at the beginning of the semester, students are given a task that includes 10% of the marks of the whole subject

5- Final exam: this evaluation is done at the end of the semester and the final score is 60%. The passing score for each student is 55. In addition, compilation of 60% of the general average in each semester is mandatory. If a student does not complete one of the above mentioned sections, he/she will be derived off the grade of this section.

Scientific Course Exams:

The scientific topics or presented here and dependently represented, and its evaluation includes a written, spoken, and practical exam, percentage of which is related to the course professor.

Types of questions: various questions including multiple choice, true and false, descriptive and calculation, short answer, and explanatory are provided.

The faculty office take action in accordance to the rules and regulations and saves any documents relevant to.
