Vision:
Promoting the Faculty of Geoscience and establishing its position as a prestigious and nationally recognized faculty in the field of training specialized and committed staff, scientific research, and science creation and providing academic services in various fields of geosciences.
Mission:
Training of expert staff needed by the society in the field of earth sciences and providing services to facilitate and accelerate the development processes of the country.
Goals:
The Faculty of Geoscience has gone through different stages of its development over the years according to the needs of the society, era and time. In order to realize this national goal, the establishment of educational institutions in the fields of Geoscience for the purpose of trained professionals and experts in the field of Geosciences is considered an urgent national need. In short, the goals of the Faculty of Geoscience can be listed as follows:

Familiarization of students with the characteristics of geographical areas in different scales;

Familiarizing students with geographic tools and equipment;
- Familiarization of students with ways of rational exploitation of resources and environment;
- Familiarization of students with developed and undeveloped areas;
- Understanding environmental and cultural similarities and differences;
- Sharing experiences and getting solutions to environmental and economic problems;
- Understanding the importance and value of using maps in urban and environmental planning;
- Geological survey;
- Geological mapping;
- Hydrogeological survey, and analysis of physical, chemical and biological properties of water;
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis of data and documents of Afghanistan's mineral resources;
- Constant effort in generalizing and expanding as much science as possible, depending on the weather;
- Quality in providing academic-research and technical services;
- To institutionalize the spirit of creativity, innovation and scientific innovation;
- Monitoring and control of hydrometric, agro meteorological and meteorological networks;
- Participation in water resources services, natural disasters and environment;
- Participation in the hydrological research of water management systems.
