Department of Journalism (Radio-Television)
Introduction:
This department was first established in 1986 with the establishment of Communication and Journalism School in 2017, the name was changed to Department of Journalism. This department annually presents journalists with special knowledge in the field of radio, television and print media to the community. In the past, field work in this department was not possible, but with the construction of the new building for the school and the creation of radio and television educational studios, field is provided with the school. Students have discovered the ability to work at a high level through practical work in the fields of radio and television program production and entered the media market with practical knowledge. The professors of this department have master's degrees and have completed their higher education in different countries.
Vision:
This department continuously strives to train journalists committed to national values and freedom of expression. In the next seven years, this institution intends to become the largest and most standardized scientific institution of journalism at the bachelor's, master's and doctorate level and be placed in a parallel position to the educational institutions of the region.
Mission:
- Teaching standard and scientific journalism to students of this field;
- Raising the quality of teaching and teaching content according to contemporary needs;
- Raising the scientific capacities of students to work in mass media as multimedia reporters, presenters, producers, editors, directors in visual, audio, print and online media;
- Raising the professional capabilities of students to coordinate with the labor market and gain communication skills with working environments;
- Carrying out scientific research in the field of journalism by professors in the fields that are most needed;
- Reasonable use of existing facilities and university laboratories
- To upgrade this institution to a journalism training center at the bachelor's, master's and doctorate level in the country and in parallel with the educational institutions in the region.
