Current Situation of the Faculty
The faculty has sufficient facilities in terms of physical facilities that have not been encountered so far. In all, the faculty's physical facilities are in an area of (50,000) square meters, including:
- Teaching Building: 10 classrooms each with a capacity of more than 50 people and an area of 500 square meters.
- Office Building: The office section has 15 rooms covering a total area of 450 square meters.
- Dormitory Building: With the capacity of 170 students, 43 bedrooms totaling 2500 square meters.
- Lab building which includes electronics (three laboratories), communication (four laboratories) and IT (three laboratories). Each of the laboratories is equipped with the necessary equipment and computers (more than one hundred computer) connected to the Internet. Area of laboratories occupied by laboratories (3000) square meters;
- Conference hall with a capacity of 320 people at a time, equipped with a sound system and an extension of 400 square meters;
- Dining hall with a capacity of 150 students at a time.
- Large green area 6000 square meters.
- Sports area of 5000 square meters

At the faculty of ICT, we believe that the faculty space should be used in such a way that the following criteria are observed:
- Uniformity: Ensures uniformity of implementation of allocation, reconstruction and renovation
- Effectiveness: Ensuring that existing facilities are used and future plans should be planned as effectively and as possible.
- Flexibility: Ensuring that we approach flexibility in the planning of the use of the faculty area to meet existing needs, anticipate future needs and ensure that our capabilities are improved.
- Sustainability: There is a popular saying that "the most basic repair is a repair that will never be build." Our overall goal and guidelines for building and using faculty space is to build a repair when we need it.
Laboratories and Library
Laboratories
Theoretical lessons alone cannot help students understand the subject. Unless theoretical courses complete practical, adaptive or laboratory work. Therefore, the faculty of ICT has a separate building called laboratories building, where all necessary and complementary laboratories are housed. The faculty of ICT laboratories are generally divided into three groups:
- Electronics Laboratories:
- Telecommunication Laboratories:
- ISE Laboratories:
The electronics laboratory includes three sub-laboratories such as measurement laboratory, circuit laboratory and analog and digital laboratory.
Telecommunication laboratories also include Cellular labs; Satellite and Microwave Laboratory; Antenna Laboratory; And becomes a fiber optic laboratory.
The ISE Lab also includes three laboratories, such as the Programming Lab, the Networking Lab, and the Hardware Lab.
Each of the above laboratories is equipped with modern equipment that has the ability to adapt dozens of experiences in each semester.
Library
The faculty of ICT library has about 6,600 books in the fields of computer and IT, electronics, telecommunications, mathematics, physics, English, Dari and Pashto Cisco, new books of ITU and Asia Foundation. The table below shows the number of books based on the relevant section. About 70 to 80 students visit the library daily and get their favorite book. According to the regulations of the university library, the book can be read by the student for up to 15 days.

In addition to the existing curriculum, the faculty of ICT has one of the eight registered Cisco academies in the country within its framework. The academy teaches CCNA Discovery, CCNA Exploration and IT Essential programs, which are used by interested students of the Institute, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology staff and freelance practitioners. Since its establishment in 2004, it has graduated more than 700 people from various fields and sections.
Distance Learning Center:
The faculty of ICT recently established a Distance Learning Center. The center is equipped with catheter, camcorder, monitors and high-speed internet. The purpose of the center is to make use of online facilities, connect the institute with national and international educational institutions, host guest lecturers and conduct video conferences.
