Horticulture Department
Vision
Horticulture is a branch of agricultural science that is recognized at home and abroad as a valuable and relevant resource in plant science for students, growers and the general public. Our goal is to advance and share the science of producing and regulating ornamental plants and vegetables and using them in communities to improve social, environmental and economic sustainability.
Mission
The Horticulture Department is committed to discovery, training and transfer that improves the quality of life locally, nationally and internationally. We increase our health, environment and economy by developing, sharing and using the science of producing food and ornamental plants.
