Directorate of Library
According to the nature and nature of its activities, this authority is directly related to the Vice-Chancellor of Scientific Affairs and works under the supervision of the Vice-Chancellor of Scientific Affairs. The library directorate is one of the major directorates of Kabul University, which is involved in organizing and supervising the regulation of library affairs in order to provide research and scientific studies for professors, students and other patrons in accordance with the laws, regulations, goals and programs of the department. The Central Library was founded at the same time as the establishment of Kabul University in 1311 and has gradually progressed through its growth and development stages. At one time, this library was one of the most important libraries in the country and region. In total, more than one hundred and fifty thousand books in different fields are available in this library. Currently, the central library of Kabul University has branches such as general administration, professional general management, catalog card management, book distribution and arrangement management, reference management, Afghanistan studies management of the social sciences department, Afghanistan studies management of the sciences department, journals and magazines management. Also, in order to repair books, the journalism branch is also active inside the library, and due to their work and activity, early depreciation of books is prevented.
