پوهنمل عبدالکریم توتاخیل، معاون اداره امور ریاست جمهوری به روز چهارشنبه مؤرخ 13 اسد سال جاری در حالی‌که پوهاند دکتور محمد عثمان بابری، رییس پوهنتون کابل و معاونین این پوهنتون وی را همراهی می‌کردند از ساختمان که توسط کشور چین برای پوهنتون کابل ساخته شده‌است دیدن نمود و بر افتتاح هرچه زودتر آن تاکید کرد.

معاون اداره امور ریاست جمهوری گفت که این ساختمان در سطح کشور و منطقه بی‌نظیر است و باید در قسمت حفظ و مراقبت آن توجه و غور بیش‌تر صورت گیرد. هم‌چنان پوهاند دکتور محمد عثمان بابری، رییس پوهنتون کابل نیز ضمن تاکید بر حفظ و مراقبت از این ساختمان گفت که آماده‌گی‌ها برای افتتاح آن روی دست گرفته شده‌ و قرار است در آینده نزدیک شاهد مراسم افتتاح این ساختمان توسط رییس جمهور کشور باشیم.

این ساختمان دارای چهل اتاق صنف درسی و تالار 1500 نفری است که از کمک‌های بلاعوض کشور چین برای افغانستان ساخته شده‌است. این ساختمان در ساحه غربی پوهنتون کابل در زمین با مساحت 18900 متر مربع در چهار طبقه با معیارهای بلند انجینیری ساخته شده و دارای سیستم‌های منظم تهویه، بهداشت و تخنیک می‌باشد. کار این پروژه در 18 میزان 1396 توسط شرکت MCC19 چینایی آغاز گردیده بود و چندی قبل به پوهنتون کابل تسلیمی داده شد.
