Teaching and Student evaluation methods

Teaching Methods

The faculty of ICT strives to introduce effective methods for the transfer of knowledge from the lecturers to the students. In general, these methods can be divided into the following two parts:

  1. In the class
  2. In the laboratory

The subject teacher in the class usually uses following teaching methods:

  • Lectures: Lectures are usually presented in the form of PowerPoint presentations or topics that require analytical teaching using a whiteboard and marker.
  • Lecture with Discussion:
  • Brainstorming: The teacher usually spends the last 5 to 7 minutes on the class, forcing students to think creatively and come up with new ideas.

In the lab section, the lab lecturer/technician introduces the experiment, and then introduces the necessary equipment and explains the method of advancing the experiment that the students will implement according to the class. They will report on their performances later.

Student evaluation methods

Evaluation of students in two ways; Formative and summative assessments are performed.

The general evaluation system is evaluated in a faculty based on a score (0-100), which is the minimum criterion of success score in a subject of 55 points. The division of grades and grades is dedicated to the following topics:

  • Short-term exams (quizzes); Guild exams; And the final exam
  • Homework and practical and adaptive work (laboratory)
  • Term paper and presentation projects
  • Participation in the class
