Education Programs
The Faculty of Social Sciences has bachelor’s degree in three fields and one Master Degree Programs as following:
- Anthropology and Archaeology
- Philosophy and Sociology
- General History
- Gender and Women Studies (M.A Program)
The Faculty B.A programs are completed in 8 semesters. In first academic year (two semester) are included fundamental and general courses and in the tree remain years (6 Semesters) compulsory and specialized courses are thought in the fields of (anthropology, archaeology, philosophy and sociology and general history). In additions, the faculty has one extra department, named Contemporary History of Afghanistan which is not a graduate program, and its lecturers teaches contemporary history of Afghanistan to all Kabul University Departments.
The Faculty Visions
Bringing up the faculty of Social Sciences state as one of key faculty of Kabul University in terms of train, expand young cadres, and explore social knowledge and cultural aspects for better social behaviors and cultural exchange in development process in Afghanistan.
The Faculty Missions
Social Sciences Faculty administrative team efforts and follow any capacity building opportunity programs for lecturers, staff and students in order to complete the goals and aims of Kabul University widely. Meanwhile, the Faculty Leadership efforts to follow the goals that are providing best lectures and teaching materials for students during academic semesters in order to facilitate graduates in job seeking and meet the needs of rural and civil communities of Afghanistan.
