Vision:
The department will be recognized nationally as an academic institution. This department tends to be committed to continuous social, economic and environmental development by sharing and presenting knowledge in the fields of crop production (cereals, legumes and industrial crops), forage production, control and identification of weeds and introduction of mechanized agricultural systems. Mission:
Agronomy Department is committed to providing standard scientific, research, practical services as well as solving existing and new issues related to this field. Also, the mission of this department is to build capacity, train scientific staff, solve related problems and transfer information to advance knowledge, effective use of existing facilities and provide standard scientific services at the national and international levels to develop an important part of the country's agricultural sector. This department works in order to maintain and improve the food chain, produce sufficient and quality food in the light of environmental priorities, and also use the existing capacities to provide appropriate and quality scientific and professional services in order to produce continuous and safe agricultural products for Dear compatriots, it offers its services.
Objectives:
1. Providing standard and quality technical knowledge in various fields of agronomic to undergraduate and graduate students for effective participation in national and international scientific communities.
2. Responding by providing quality curricula and services and increasing agricultural systems.
3. Providing services by introducing technology as a source of knowledge for agricultural producers and traders, agricultural planners and managers using relevant, reliable, fresh and unbiased information in national and international languages.
