About

The Faculty of Geoscience was established by merging the Department of Geography from the Faculty of Literature and Human Sciences and the Departments of Meteorology and Geology from the faculty of Science in 1359. Subsequently, in 1361, the Department of Hydrology was added to this faculty, but in 1375, due to the lack of scientific staff members, it was merged with the Department of Meteorology, and under the title of the Department of Hydrometeorology, and they started their activities in the framework of the Faculty of Geoscience In 2017, the department of environmental protection and disaster management was established in the framework of this faculty. Of course, the aforementioned department was upgraded to the Faculty of Environment at the end of 2013.
