محترم لطف الله خیرخواه معین علمی وزارت تحصیلات عالی در حالی‌که وی را محترم دکتور اسامه عزیز رییس پوهنتون کابل همراهی می‌کرد از کتاب خانه مرکزی پوهنتون کابل دیدن نموده و با مسوولین این کتاب خانه روی بهتر نگهداشتن کتاب‌ها، غنی سازی بیش‌تر کتاب خانه، تنظیم کتاب‌ها و فراهم کردن سهولت‌های بیش‌تر برای استفاده محصلین از کتاب خانه صحبت نموده و خواهان توجه مسوولین در این زمینه‌ها گردید و هم‌چنان برای غنی سازی بیش‌تر کتاب خانه مرکزی پوهنتون کابل ابراز آمادگی کرد.

کتاب خانه مرکزی پوهنتون کابل یکی از بزرگترین کتاب خانه‌های کشور است که در آن هزاران عنوان کتاب در رشته‌های مختلف به شکل کتاب خانه آنلاین، به شکل ریفرینس، به شکل ریزرف و هم‌چنان هزاران عنوان تیزس و مونوگراف‌ و مجلات و اخبار در بخش‌های مختلف نگهداری می‌شود و روزانه صدها محصل، استاد و محقق برای کارهای تحقیقی و علمی خود از آن‌ها استفاده می‌نمایند.
