Meeting to Expand Cooperation Between Kabul University and Tashkent State Agrarian University
Honorable Dr. Osama Aziz, Chancellor of Kabul University, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for academic Research Affairs and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, met with Honorable Narzullo Oblomuradov, chancellor of the Tashkent State Agrarian University of Uzbekistan, and the university’s Vice chancellor for academic Affairs, at the Kabul University chancellor's office.
During this session, both parties exchanged views on strategies to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of scientific research, higher education, and capacity building.
Furthermore, the two sides agreed to draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to regulate joint academic, research, and practical initiatives, which will be officially signed upon completing the standard and legal procedures within both institutions.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached to elevate the academic and instructional quality of postgraduate programs at the Faculty of Agriculture of Kabul University.
To achieve this, experienced professors from Tashkent State Agrarian University will travel to Kabul to participate in short-term academic and capacity-building programs.
Additionally, to ensure the continuity of professional development, both parties expressed their readiness to conduct specialized Training of Trainers (ToT) workshops aimed at upgrading the professional competencies of the faculty members. These programs will be implemented both in-person and online, based on needs assessments and available resources.
In conclusion, both sides evaluated this meeting as a valuable step toward strengthening academic ties, broadening research collaboration, and establishing joint scientific innovations in the agricultural sector, emphasizing the continuity of long-term and effective cooperation.
