Meeting convened regarding the agribusiness startup competition
Coordinating meeting for the "Agribusiness Startup Competition" was held virtually among the students of agricultural faculties across Afghanistan.
The session was attended by the Chancellor of Kabul University, the Director of Student Affairs Coordination at the Ministry of Higher Education, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, as well as the vice-chancellors and directors of student affairs from state universities and deans of agricultural faculties from various state universities.
During the meeting, participants engaged in comprehensive discussions regarding the objectives and significance of the competition, its procedural framework, institutional coordination among the participating universities, the structuring of the competition's phases, student eligibility criteria, and the evaluation and selection mechanisms for the top proposals. Furthermore, necessary resolutions were adopted to ensure transparency and methodical management throughout the event.
Initiated by Kabul University under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education, this competition will be conducted in three distinct phases among students from agriculture faculties of state universities.
The initial phase is scheduled to commence in the month of Aqrab of the current S.H year (October/November 2026).
The first and second phases will be executed at the institutional level, wherein students will undertake a written examination and formulate their agro-business proposals. Subsequently, each university will nominate its top three proposals to Kabul University to advance to the third phase (the General competition).
At the conclusion of the event, the top ten proposals nationwide, along with one outstanding proposal from each participating university, will be selected to receive the necessary support and facilitation for practical implementation.
