Department of Scientific Research

The Scientific Research Directorate is one of the key units of Kabul University, operating under the Deputy of Research and Scientific Journal. This directorate functions with the aim of enhancing research capacity, improving coordination, and organizing research activities across all academic disciplines. Reviewing and assessing different research projects, research proposals, research outputs, and scientific conferences are among its main duties. Along with promoting and supporting researchers through motivate and support programs, the directorate also plays a major role in organizing scientific conferences and holding seminars to enhance scholars' capacity for research. The directorate additionally manages the University Research Committee's meetings and lays the foundation for the growth and development of applied and scientific research at the university by creating a systematic and scientific framework.
