About:
Department of Public Relations in 2013 in accordance with the necessity of society was established as a replacement for the Department of Press in the framework of the School of Communication & Journalism. In this department, there are 8 semesters in a four-year period. Public relations is taught in a scientific and specialized way in this department.
Vision:
The Public Relations Department is committed to reach a milestone as a leading professional institution of Kabul University in institutionalizing professional communication process learning as a choice for outstanding students in Afghanistan.
Mission:
The Public Relations Department is providing honest, open and consistent public relations communications knowledge and skills in four years, enabling students to apply their leadership and PR expertise in their future careers in order to play effective role in reinforcing professional communication process trends in the government, NGOs and private sector.
Goals:
This department tries to train specialized personnel in public sectors for government and non-government offices, which will facilitate and speed up the achievement of relevant social goals. Graduates of the Department of Public Relations learn the scientific and practical ability to strengthen relations between the media and public relations offices. Graduates of this department have the ability to share and transfer information in a professional and scientific way through the media.
