Accounting Department
a. Introduction
Considering the necessity of the market, the decision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Finance, and Kabul University led the accounting department to be established in 2016. Accounting department currently educates 160 students only during the day shift. Students are admitted in this department through passing Kankor exam and are taught using credit system. Most of the subjects in this department are taught in English language. Based on the MoU with the International Islamic University of Malaysia, this department is exempt of teaching 9 professional modules of (ACCA).
Graduate students receive not only Bachelor’s Diploma in Accounting but also a globally validated certificate of 9 professional modules of accounting. Having affiliation with the International Islamic University of Malaysia, this department is able to graduate capable, skilled, and intellectual students who will be able to actively work for the betterment and development of this war-torn country.
Vision
Acquiring the leading position in academic accounting at national and regional levels is the vision of accounting department.
Mission
Creating a sound academic environment for the students in order to enable them to face accounting challenges at national and international levels, as well as to improve and strengthen the knowledge of accounting in the country. Moreover, this department is committed to continue its affiliations with the national and international academic agencies, and to providing quality and unbiased educational services.
Main and leading objectives
1. Educating students with the professional and contemporary knowledge and skills in the field accounting.
2. Persuading students to constant learning and creating innovative mentality in them using updated technology and resources.
3. Enabling students to acquire great communication and interpersonal skills.
c. Memorandum of Understanding
Signing MoU with the Ministry of Finance to obtain financial and technical assistance for the expansion of accounting profession in the country and to build the capacity of the lecturers.
d. Laboratory and learning Equipment
Classrooms, computer lab, and library are equally used by all departments of the Faculty of Economics of Kabul University.
