The KU Chancellor Participated in "Setting up the Competencies of Kabul Professors" Workshop
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Osman Babury Chancellor of Kabul University, on Monday, 26th July 2021 participated in "Setting up the competencies of Kabul professors", launched by the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences in Kabul University.
The Chancellor of Kabul University, while thanking and appreciating the professors of the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences for holding this workshop, said that holding such programs is extremely important and effective in improving the capacity and knowledge and skills of professors and more workshops and seminars should be held. According to Dr. Babury in such programs and workshops, professors have the opportunity to share their scientific and academic knowledge, use each other's experiences and resources, increase their capacity and competence, and transfer this capacity and competence to students. The Chancellor of Kabul University emphasized that the university governing board always supports the holding of scientific and academic programs and with the help of such programs we can determine our curriculum and provide more effective services to the children of the homeland and fulfill the mission of the university.
In this workshop, a number of Kabul University faculty members were present in three groups and discussed "determining the qualifications of Kabul University professors". Prof. Reza Mirzaei, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, and one of the organizers of this workshop, thanked the Chancellor of Kabul University and said that in most prestigious universities in the world, there are programs and workshops to receive and determine the qualifications of professors. There is such a program in Kabul University and that is why we have held this workshop. Porf. Mirzaei adds that through this program, they will identify elite and worthy professors of Kabul University, and this will encourage other professors to participate in such programs. According to Professor Mirzaei, this workshop can help and guide professors in hiring new professors, evaluating professors and improving the capacity of professors and scientific and research issues.
