Signing a Memorandum of Understanding between KU and the Supreme Audit Office’s Deputy Director of Afghanistan
Memorandum of Understanding for Professional Cooperation of Kabul University Expert Staff in the Field of Audit, Improving the Capacity of the Staff of the Supreme Audit Office and Providing Internships for Kabul University Students on Tuesday, 22nd 2021 is signed by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Osman Babury Chancellor of Kabul University, and Deputy Director of the Supreme Audit Office.
The Chancellor of Kabul University, when signing the Memorandum of Understanding said that there are positive and key points in it and that this could increase the level of cooperation between Kabul University and the Supreme Audit Office. Dr. Babury emphasized that Kabul University, by considering its scientific and academic capacity is ready to cooperate based on the provisions of this Memorandum of Understanding with the Supreme Audit Office. He stated that this memorandum includes important scientific and academic demands and commitments, and with their implementation, the mentioned departments can benefit from each other's capacities. The Chancellor of Kabul University also stated that the audit is an urgent necessity to improve the work and performance in government departments and highlight initiatives and achievements, and the Governing Board of Kabul University is cooperating with the Supreme Audit Office in this regard and supports their suggestions and views.
Then, Seyed Bilal Hashemi, Deputy Director of Operations and Information Technology Audit of the Supreme Audit Office of Afghanistan, thanked the Chancellor of Kabul University for his cooperation and support and said that there was no better office to sign the MoU than Kabul University. The inspectorate tried to sign the memorandum with Kabul University. Mr. Hashemi emphasized that the signing of this memorandum will increase the scope of cooperation as well as the use of capacities between the two departments.
It should be noted that according to the provisions of this memorandum, the Higher Audit Office will provide internship programs for students of the faculties of Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Public Administration and Policy, and Law and Political Science, as well as scientific work and research projects for Kabul University students by policy review and legislative documentation will be provided.
