The Holly Quran Kareem Recitation was held at Kabul University to Honor the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Holly Quran Kareem Recitation on Wednesday evening, May 6, in accordance with the twenty-third day of Ramadan, in honor of this month, by the Governing Board of the Faculty of Sharia Law by presence of the Minister of Higher Education, Chancellor and governing board; deans of faculties, a number of professors; staff and students of Kabul University were held in the conference hall of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Dr. Abas Basir, Minister of Higher Education, while thanking the organizers of the program at the end of the ceremony, spoke about the virtues of the holy month of Ramadan and said: "There are many hidden virtues in this holy month, including the revelation of the Holy Quran." Qur'an Kareem is a scientific, logical and moral book that contains in the framework of Islamic ethics; an educational book contains various educational principles, a book of law and contains general and detailed principles of Islamic law, a book of philosophy and in the whole Qur'an is a miraculous book and a miracle. "The scientific and logical verses of the Qur'an show that this book is not a human manuscript, but a higher source with support of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him". Dr. Basir said: the main invitation of the Qur'an is the invitation to accept peace and knowledge. Violence is forbidden and even Jihad is considered necessary in certain circumstances. Therefore, since the main role of universities while teaching, promoting peace, stability and mutual acceptance, the role of professors is very effective in promoting such an atmosphere, and the governing board of the Ministry of Higher Education has frequently tried to promote integration in the field of higher education. Dr. Basir expressed his hope that with the blessings of this holy month, we will have a society free from adversity and free from violence and disunity.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Osman Babury, Chancellor of Kabul University, also spoke at the ceremony, thanking the Faculty of Sharia Law for the good belief of celebrating the holy month of Ramadan and night of Qader. Dr. Babury said; it is considered a good opportunity to receive rewards and blessings. "Although there are many opportunities in human life, one of them is the holy month of Ramadan". This month is a good opportunity to be aware of the human dignity and blessings inherent in human beings. Therefore; Ramadan is a very good opportunity for the self-knowledge and self-creation of human beings and our Muslims to know who we are, what we are and why we were created. And it is a good opportunity to assemble ourselves and to know what are the positive and negative issues of our existence and to decorate ourselves according to what qualities and good deeds, and these issues are more necessary than restraint and avoiding eating and drinking.
At the end of his speech, Dr. Babury said: "May God help us to start the revolution of self- conception from within the universities and spread it to the society so that our society becomes completely Islamic to move on development, progress, acceptance and peace."Professor Enayatullah Baligh, Advisor of the President on Religious Affairs of Government of Islamic of Afghanistan and Professor of the Faculty of Sharia Law, and some other professors also spoke at the ceremony and each spoke about the virtues of the holy month of Ramadan and the night of Qadir.
