The Holy Quran Recitation Ceremony and Distribution of Scholarships to the Wounded and Survivors of the 2nd Nov 2020 terrorist attack at Kabul University
On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Holy Quran recitation ceremony and the distribution of scholarships for 22 wounded and survivors of the martyrs of the 2nd Nov terrorist attack of 2020 were held by the FHI 360 Institute by the presence of the Kabul University Governing Board and officials.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Osman Babury Chancellor of Kabul University, in this ceremony while parrying to the martyrs of the 2nd Nov terrorist attack and sharing his condolences to the survivors, said that this heartbreaking incident will never be forgotten and the community of higher education, especially Kabul University, will always be disappointed. Dr. Babury added that the university governing board continues cooperation for the survivors and the wounded of this terrorist attack, and cooperation has been done in this regard. The Chancellor of Kabul University thanked the FHI 360 Institute for its assistance in distributing scholarships to the wounded and survivors of the martyrs of the 2nd Nov terrorist attack, and asked for further assistance.
Meanwhile, Najibullah Siawash, representative of the FHI 360 Institute at the event, said that after investigation and try, they were able to support 22 of the victims of the 2nd Nov 2020 terrorist attack to continue their education. Mr. Siawash added that this assistance is divided into two categories, the first category includes those who are in serious need of assistance and the amount of one thousand US dollars, and the second category includes those who are less in need and for them 400$ has been donated.
FHI 360 is one of the partners of the AHEAD program, which cooperates in various departments of the Ministry of Higher Education, especially Kabul University. A terrorist attack on Kabul University cased martyr of 18 students, a university employee and a security guard.
