The Holly Quran Recitation Ceremony was held to Commemorate of the 40th Day of the Martyrdom of Kabul University Students

The Holly Quran Recitation Ceremony was held by the presence of the families of the martyrs and the wounded students in the Academic Council Hall of Kabul University on the occasion of the 40th Day of the martyrdom of the 2nd Nov 2020 incident at Kabul University.

The program, which was attended by the chancellor and vice chancellors of Kabul University, heads of faculties, a number of university professors, families of martyrs, wounded and students of the university and officials of a number of charitable organizations, this program was consisted of two parts: the first part and the second part. It included speeches and the distribution of cash and non-cash donations to the wounded and the families of the martyrs.

Prof. Dr. M. Osman Babury Chancellor of Kabul University, after the end of the recitation of the Holy Quran, in his introductory speech, welcomed the participants at the Kabul University and frequently denounced the ruthless attack, and once again shared his condolences for the martyring of 19 students and one of the university staff for their families and the country's academic community and expressed his condolences on behalf of Kabul University.

Prof. Dr. Babury talked about the 2nd Nov 2020 incident with an extreme regret and called on the security officials to pursue and bring to justice all the perpetrators of the incident, to make more efforts to ensure the security of academic institutions so that the country's youth could live and continue their education in a safe and away from insecure environment. Dr. Babury expressed his satisfaction with the relative security of Kabul University and the institutions that have cooperated with the families of the martyrs and the wounded students in recent days and their participation in this program.

Then, the honored officials of such institutions as: Kabul United People's Council, Afghan Women's Network, Mr. Jamshid Charitable Organization and Kabul University Faculty Union each distributed cash donations and Mr. Zamani’s Foundation a considerable amount of provisions for the families of the martyrs and wounded of the 2nd Nov 2020 incident. And after that, the program ended with a prayer for prosperity of the country at 4:30 PM.
