Background of General Directorate of students’ affairs’:

General directorate of Students Affairs serves within organizational framework of vice presidency of student affairs at Kabul University that was promoted to directorate from general administration in 2012.    

The Directorate over the years, with having most of students had more than twenty employees. But now the number of students is getting high, it is (22,000) students in daily and night shift programs, who are studying in the different faculties of Kabul University.

Currently seven employees serve in general directorate of students affair. This situation is deplorable and creates a lot of problems.

With the above mentioned levels organizational chart of General Directorate of Student Affairs is presenting as below.

General Directorate of students of Kabul University serves from late 2012 to now and throughout the years have done the following tasks.

  • Registration of new recruit students of different faculties of Kabul University.
  • Print and distribution of books for different faculties of KU.
  • Distribution of Diploma and transcripts in Dari and English for graduated students of KU.
  • Leading document evaluation committee.
  • Introducing nominated candidates for dormitory purpose.
  • Organizing the statistics of students from daytime and nightshift programs in the different faculties of KU.
  • Organizing the documents of the new comer students. 
  • Cooperation with human resource presidency.
  • Preparation for 1st and 2nd semester’s examination in the nightshift programs.
  • Print and distribution of ID cards for lecturers and staff of KU.
  • Preparing Applications for 14th year graduated students and introducing them to the related faculties after Koncor (entrance) exam.
  • Taking part in disciplines instruction committee.
  • Meetings with members’ of the teaching management systems of faculties to solve their problems.
  • Print and distribution of students’ ID cards.
  • Introducing of qualified students to the academic programs of aboard to build students’ academic developments.
