Biography of Dr. Muhammad Aslam Naseemi Dean of Language and Literature Faculty at Kabul University

Dr. Naseemi was born in 1957 in the district of Shtel, Panjshir province, his primary education was completed between (1965-1967) in Sad-u-Din Ansari School, his secondary and high school was completed between (1970-1974) at Amani high school in Kabul city. In 1975 he become teacher, furthermore in late 1979 he joined Languages and Literature Faculty at Kabul University as a teacher.

In 1980 for Master education he traveled to Democratic Republic of Germany (East Germany) and completed his studies at University of Humboldt, Berlin in the field of Languages and Literature Faculty. From 1985 till 1988 he completed his second Master’s in filed of German language literature as a first field and Pedagogy as a second field, from University of Duisburg Essen of Germany.

From 1990 to 2005 he worked as research assistant professor in University of Duisburg Essen. During 2003 - 2005 he has completed his PhD degree.

In 2005, after many years living abroad he move back to his beloved country Afghanistan, and joined German Department of Language and Literature Faculty. From 2006 he is member of scientific committee of the faculty and also member of the committee on quality assurance of Kabul University. In 2012 he has been selected as member of MoHE’s Educational Board and dean Language and Literature faculty at Kabul University.

Dr. Naseemi, during his working period in Duisburg Essen University in Germany,

Participated in different workshops, scientific conferences and symposiums and provided scientific papers as well. Dr. Naseemi has access to Pashto language as a national language and German as a foreign language.


 He had cultural and scientific cooperation between German Department at Kabul University and Duisburg Essen University in 2011. Later the cooperation expanded between University of Bochum, Germany and German Language Department, Kabul University, which is because of Dr. Naseemi hard works and efforts.
