Department of physics

The department was established in 1942 as physics/mathematics section. Later in 1969 it became as an independent department of physics. The aim of the establishment of this department was to educate scientific and educational cadre for higher education institution and specialists needed in the country.

The department has three sections: general physics, atomic and nuclear physics and electronic physics.

Special subjects of the department are:

General physics, mechanical physics, classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, physics of electricity and magnetism, wave light, electrodynamics, atom and nuclear physics, electronics, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, physics of solids, applied physics, safety techniques, relativity theory, solving school physics exercises and pedagogic studies.

The department has five educational and research laboratories:

Light physics lab, electricity lab, mechanic lab, nuclear lab and electronic lab.
