Department of Pharmaceutics

    Pharmaceutics is concerned with the scientific & technologic aspects of the design & manufacture of dosage forms. Pharmaceutics encompasses most divers’ subject areas, such as:

  • Understanding of the basic physical chemistry necessary for the efficient design of dosage forms
  • Design & formulation of dosage forms
  • Manufacture of these medicine on both a small (compounding) & large scale
  • avoidance & elimination of microorganism

   The main aims of this department are to teach formulation, production & evaluation of dosage forms in large & small scale.

   Principal operation associated with production of different dosage form (Solid, liquid, semisolid & gas) in laboratory & industrial level, formulation of all pharmaceutical dosage forms, pharmacy calculations, Biopharmaceutics, industrial pharmacy, managing drug supply and medical equipment are taught  by the Department of Pharmaceutics.
