Biography of Assist. Prof. Abdul Walid Salik, Lecturer at Soil Science and Irrigation Department of Agriculture Faculty, Kabul University.

Abdul Walid Salik, a pedologist and social activist, has been appointed the academic lecture at Soil Science and Irrigation Department of Agriculture Faculty of Kabul University on December 2013 up to present. Mr. Abdul Walid Salik son of Abdul Jalil Salik, was born in 1991 in an educated and intellectual family in Baghlan Province. He joined in a primary school in 1996 and completed high school in 2008 from Central Baghlan High School. He received his Bachelor degree in Agronomy from Agriculture Faculty of Kabul University. He graduated his M.Sc. with an excellent diploma in Agriculture Engineering from Szent István University (https://szie.hu/), Godollo, Hungary, in 2018.  Mr. Salik has written more than 10 scientific papers, published in national and international scientific journals and conferences. Mainly his academic publications are in agriculture engineering. He has actively participated in several national, regional, and international scientific conferences, seminars, and other events representing Afghanistan. He has been traveled to the following countries: Italy, Hungary, Germany, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, and India. He is a fluent speaker and writer in Pashto, Dari, and English languages.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teaching of Soil and Water Conservation, Soil Science, Soil Fertility, fundamentals of Irrigation and Geographic Information System (GIS) to B.Sc. students of
  • Research and supervising monographs of 4th class students
  • Member of the academic council and Research, Discipline, Cultural and Curriculum committees of Academic Faculty.
  • Candidate of Doctoral degree
