The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Kabul University Introduced and Officially Started his Work

Professor Mohammad Shafi Sharifi was introduced through an approval of the Government of Afghanistan; Ministry of Higher Education and Kabul University Academic Council as the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of Kabul University on June 18, 2020 in a meeting with the Prof. Dr. Mohammad Osman Babury, the Chancellor of Kabul University, the Deans of the Faculties, a number of professors and members of the academic and scientific council of the Kabul University.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Osman Babury, the Chancellor of Kabul University, through speaking in the meeting introduced Professor Sharifi as the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs to the present members of the meeting and called his performance in this position is appropriate and blessed for Kabul University. Dr. Babury gave a brief overview of Mr. Sharifi's performance and past work, which has been proposed by the Chancellor of the Kabul University and the Ministry of Higher Education and approval of the Government of Afghanistan. Dr. Babury expressed his pleasure that Prof. Sharifi’s selection will help Kabul University to be strengthened and developed in the path of qualitative improvement and wished success to Mr. Sharifi in this matter.

Afterwards, Professor Mohammad Shafi Sharifi, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Kabul University, thanked the Kabul University Leadership; the Ministry of Higher Education and the Government of the Afghanistan for their trust, and expressed his hopes that with his commitment and extensive use of work experience and opportunities at Kabul University; he can carry out serious responsibilities and make drastic changes and developments in the academic fields of this University.

In the continuation of this ceremony, a number of other members also spoke and then the participants of the program introduced him to the colleagues of his office, the heads of the faculties and the present professors.

Professor Mohammad Shafi Sharifi, who received his master's degree from Ohio University in the United States, has been teaching engineering for more than 30 years, and for about 10 years has been the head of the Institute of Information Technology at the Kabul University.
