The Kabul University Chancellor and Faculty of Sharia Law’s Message on the event of the martyr of Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Niazi

It is a deeply disappointed to hear that Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Niazi, a professor at the Faculty of Sharia Law at Kabul University, was martyred this evening at the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Mosque.

انا لله و انا الیه راجعون

Translation: Do not say about those who are murdered in the way of Almighty Allah that they are dead but they are alive and you do not know.

The shocking news of the untimely martyred of Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Niazi, a professor and popular scholar of Kabul University, put the plunged religious circles, the academic community and all citizens of Afghanistan and the Islamic world into a deep sorrow.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Naizi was an active professor, scientist and scholar, not only by teaching and research, but also by his passionate lectures and speeches to express the truths and values ​​of the religion of Islam in the hearts of thousands of people, including students. He was a master of various segments of society, but as a well-known character in the social and religious world, his fame and popularity went beyond the borders of the country and made him a claimant of peace, moderation and religious individualism in the Islamic world. 

Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Niazi was fascinated by justice and strongly believed in the unity and solidarity of the Afghan people against hypocrisy, ignorance, backwardness, oppression and moral degeneration through the classrooms, the pulpit of the mosque and the media. It has immortalized the history of Islam, Afghanistan and the academic and research communities of the country forever.

Kabul University and Faculty of Sharia Law have expressed and shared their condolences to all Afghan nations and the country's media and his respected family. The Afghanistan government and board of Ministry of Higher Education uttered their compassion on the occasion of the academic irreparable and Islamic lost.

A Brief Biography of Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Niazi

We are all from God and we return to him (انا لله و انا الیه راجعون)

Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Niazi, the son of Mohammad Niaz, the grandson of Mohammad Ibrahim, was born in 1342 in the village of Lulch, Yamgan district, Badakhshan province, in a religious family. Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Niazi had memorized the Holy Quran at the age of twelve, which was a sign of his immense and extraordinary talent.

While studying Islamic sciences, after completing his primary and secondary education in Hazrat Saeed's school in Jurm district of Badakhshan, from 1349 to 1358, he traveled to Pakistan to continue his education. And entered to central Sharia and Islamic Studies in Peshawar Pakistan; that included the memorization of the Holy Quran, Tajweed, and the seven Qur'anic verses studies. At the same time with the Islamic lessons, he completed the nightshift school in the high school of (Ander Shahr High School) in Peshawar, Pakistan from 1359 to 1362. He completed his bachelor's degree in (Wefaq Al-Madars Al-Arabiya) from 1363 to 1365.

Then, due to his brilliant talent and ability through a scholarship he traveled to Egypt, he went to Cairo, received his Second Bachelor's Degree and his Master's Degree in al-Fiqh al-Alam from 1371 to 1376 and his PhD in the field of (Al-Fiqh Al-Aam) from 1378 to 1383, he graduated from Al-Azhar International University in Cairo, Egypt.

After returning to his homeland, Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Niazi was appointed as a professor to the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Principles of Jurisprudence at the Kabul University as a member of the academic staff in19/ 7/ 1384 .

Martyr Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Niazi, a beloved professor at Kabul University, in addition to his sacred duty of teaching, was honored to be a member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of  Sharia Law and a member of the Scientific Council of Kabul University.

He also received a degree from Kabul University during his brilliant career, and recently he was in the process of earning promotion as a (Pohanmal) university degree.

Dr. Mohammad Ayaz Niazi has also enthusiastically and successfully performed the following responsibilities in addition to his teaching:

  1. From 1389 to 1393, he had served as the Director of the Master's Program in Sharia and Law at Kabul University's Faculty of Sharia Law.
  2. From 1390 to the end of 1394, he was the head of General Directorate for evaluation of the religious documents of scholars from abroad.
  3. He was member of the Master's Degree Program (Sharia and Law), Faculty of Sharia, Kabul University.
  4. He was also Professor in the Master's Degree Program in International Relations, Kabul University, and Faculty of Law.
  5. Annually; he has also been in charge of guiding the Master's thesis of the students of the Faculty of Sharia Law at Kabul University, and in some of the thesis, he has been introduced as the professor of the controversy.
  6. He was a special representative of Higher Education for fulfilling the promises of Excellency the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for reducing the distance between the citadel and the mosque.
  7. He was Khateeb (Imam) of the Grand Mosque of Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan in Kabul.
  8. He had cooperation with the Afghan National Radio and Television for 14 years in the live program answering people's questions from 3 to 4 PM on Sundays and Tuesdays.

Kabul University, calls the untimely martyred of the Dr. Naizi an immense scientific lost for the Afghan academic community, prays and wishes him to rest in paradise, asks passionate for his family and relatives.
