Freedom and Independence Scientific Seminar Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Afghanistan’s Independence in Kabul University

Today, Saturday, March 23, the Freedom and Independence academic Seminar, attended by the Professor Hamidullah Farooqi Chancellor of Kabul University and Senior Minister Adviser of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Higher Education Affairs; professors, staff and students. The program was initiated by the esteemed Social Science Faculty of the Kabul University and featured professors, researchers and scholars presented their academic articles on the subject.

First, honorable Ghulam Farouk Abdullah, Head of the Social Sciences Faculty, spoke on Afghanistan's independence should be restored, and welcomed the guests and attendees to the event.

Subsequently, the honorable Professor Hamidullah Farooqi Chancellor of Kabul University and Senior Minister Adviser of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Higher Education Affairs; thanked and appreciated the organizers of the seminar and spoke on the occasion of the Day of Independence. They cited an important turning point in the lives of the Afghan people and an important event in the country's political history.

The chancellor of Kabul University added that freedom and independence are among the most precious and beautiful words that human beings need more than any creature, and this important and fateful day is an eternal day, a great day and a turning point in the history of Afghanistan.

According to Mr. Farooqi, on the Independence Day of the country with the name and emblems of the young, freedom-loving and progressive King of Afghanistan, His Majesty King Amanullah, words "all or Afghan people of any tribe and lineage, with the slogan" or ″death or freedom″ which did not sunbathe in the sun, was forced to recognize Afghanistan's political independence on the Asian continent.

The chancellor of Kabul University stated that with the proclamation of Afghanistan's independence, our country was undergoing profound social, political, economic and cultural developments, as the numerous laws and regulations that enshrined the rights and obligations of every citizen residing in this war zone. It was enacted, and it was on the basis of these laws that the issue of slavery and the enslavement of the laws of the abolished state and hundreds of other civil movements were first put into practice. It was at this time that the gates of universities around the world were opened to the youth of the country, and the first handful of male and female students went to Europe for modern science and dozens of newspapers for their mental expansion and development. The culture of the people of the country was created and Siraj al-Akhbar and Ershad al-Nuswan are among the most popular of these publications.

Mr. Fqrooqi mentioned the heroics and courage of King Amanullah Khan Ghazi, saying that every industrial, economic and cultural change we see in the country today has its roots in the progressive system of the faith. On the occasion of this blessed day, on behalf of the Kabul University leadership, he congratulated all the noble and honorable people of the country, expressing hope that the program participants would make optimal use of the resources of this seminar.

Following the scientific seminar, after the performance of the song by Mr. Fanos, Professor of Fine Arts, honorable Professors of Social Sciences, honorable Pohand Ahmadzia Nikbin, Professor Hussian Afghanyar, Professor Ahmad Rasoul Rasoul, Mrs. Mughan Hamraz, Mrs Sajia Sediqi presented their academic articles to the audience on the anniversary of the return of Afghanistan's independence.

The academic seminar concluded with the conclusion by the honorable Professor Hamidullah Farooqi Chancellor of Kabul University and Senior Minister Adviser of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Higher Education Affairs;
