Launch of the book "De Nakamo Dolatuno Raghavana" by Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Republic of Afghanistan at Kabul University

On Sunday, July  30, 2019, at 1:30 pm, Kabul University hosted the unveiling of the book "De Nakamo Dolatano Raghavana" by Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and his colleague Claire Lockhart, published by Dr Scholars on 9 Chapters and 310 Pages; translated by Nizam al-Din Quazi. The program is hosted by the honorable Professor Hamidullah Farooqi, the Chancellor of Kabul University and Advisor of Chief Minister in Higher Education Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan; academic, cultural and political figures, scholars, and deans of faculties and students participation. The program was also packed with valuable lectures and talks.

Excellency Professor Hamidullah Farooqi, the Chancellor of Kabul University and Advisor of Chief Minister in Higher Education Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan;  welcomed the presence of characters and attendees as the first keynote speaker at the Kabul University and welcomed such valuable, historical and academic circles. At the prestigious scientific institution of the country, such as Kabul University, they expressed their satisfaction. Mr. Hamidullah Farooqi said such scientific programs are the responsibility of academic institutions and universities, saying Kabul University is proud to have always host and support such programs.

Professor Hamidullah Farooqi spoke about the importance of the book and added that it is one of the most important means of understanding and transmitting science and knowledge and the best means of transmitting knowledge, history and stories from one generation to the next. He noted that regrets in translation in Afghanistan was slow and sluggish in the past, and it is now a pleasure to address the attention of local scholars and academic centers, to create better and various translation centers.

Professor Hamidullah Farooqi said the Kabul University, with the assistance of the faculty, is committed to working with national, regional and global standards to improve the work of authoring and translating to address these shortcomings. It is the scientific and research journals of this university that is produced and published in a consistent and high quality standard.

The chancellor of Kabul University in connection with the book; noted that one of the most important features of this book is to study the effects and causes of the failure of the government and governments and to provide solutions to it, said a collection of thoughtful and experienced government writers. This can be the best source of relief for governments to recover from the pitfalls and failures. He also thanked the translator and the organizers of the program for ending the efforts of Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani; Mrs. Claire Lockhart and their colleagues.

Then, Mr. Mohaghegh Haddad introduced the book and presented their information about the book to the audience. Dr Nezamoddin Kawazi, a researcher the translator of the book, explained the book in more detail, one of the main reasons why he was a translator of this work was the vast scientific, economic, and social gap between Afghanistan and the world and comparing various challenges in country with developed countries, this book has found many ways to resolve these shortcomings and reduce distances. He noted that he had tried to translate as accurately as possible in accordance with the principle written in English. During the program, three other speakers, each honorable Professor Bryali Hakimi Professor of Law and Political Science at Kabul University. honorable Scholar Sarvar Ahmadzai and Ajmal Kakar Professor of Economics Faculty also provided their impressions of the book and continued to provide valuable tips for highlighting the good and the shortcomings of the book.

It is noteworthy that this work was published by Oxford University Press in London in 2008 and is now being translated for the first time in Pashto by Soroush Publications.
