Appreciation and Decoration of the Cultural and Artistic Activities of Ibrahim Hottak, Head of Goethe Institute, at Kabul University

The presidency of Kabul University and the faculty of Fine Arts of this institute, in series of cultural programs; celebrities of the activities and prominence of the prominent personalities of the country, in the fifth round of the program;  appreciated the cultural activities of Ibrahim Hottak Head of the Goethe Institute. This program was organized on Tuesday 25th of June 2019 by participation of the the Chancellor of Kabul University and Advisor of Chief Minister in Higher Education Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan; Professor Samiullah Nabi dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Lewal the poet, writer and ambassador of Afghanistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, a number of poets, writers, filmmakers, professors and students of the Faculty of Fine Arts at that Faculty’s Hall.

Professor Samiullah Nabi welcomed the guests and participants of the ceremony with giving information about how the program was implemented. He said the faculty of Fine Arts since 2016 received the organization of the appreciation programs of the activities and achievements of the personalities of the country every year, with the cooperation of institutions of Nema Media; Afghan films, the Institute of France and other institutions.

Then, the Chancellor of Kabul University and Advisor of Chief Minister in Higher Education Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan; thanked the Faculty of Fine Arts on the implementation of such cultural and valuable program in order to support and appreciate the effective activities in cooperation with the University of Kabul, the culture character of the country, Ibrahim Houtak, the Head of the Goethe Institute and other programs, expressed his gratitude; appreciation, and admired the organization of such programs to strengthen relationships of the noticeable personalities and their activities during their lifetime.

Mr. Farooqi has called the culture of appreciation and gratitude for the magnificent actions are part of the original culture of the country, and he mentioned it along with other issues and characteristics of the principles of admiration and praise in the society. He added that the government, institutions and universities should organize a variety of cultural and courageous events to honor the activities of inspired characters.

Chancellor of the Kabul University, while referring to Mr. Hotak's personality and activities;  expressed his sincere congratulations on cultural activities of him in the country, while appreciating and congratulating him on his continuing assistance at Kabul University, praised and appreciated his effective achievements in the field of Art and Culture.

In addition, Mr. Abdul Ghafour Libwal, the poet, writer and ambassador of Afghanistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr, Mohib Zegham, Mr. Najibullah Munli, Engineer Latif Ahmadi one of the authors, poets and artisans of the country, also spoke about Mr. Hotak's cultural and literary character. And thanked the presidency of Kabul University and the Faculty of Fine Arts for the implementation of this program.

Honored Ibrahim Hottak, the head of the Goethe Institute, described the homeland as a parent and serving the homeland and the people is his religious and national duties.

He was honored and privileged by the presidency of the Kabul University and the Faculty of Fine Arts; he thanked authorities for organizing the program, and he is trying to work with the other institutions with a cultural approach to strengthen the culture of the country.

It is worth mentioning that the program of gratitude and thanks also covered with the reading of Maolana’s poetry.

Ibrahim Hottak is the deceased son of Mohammad Hottak. He holds a master's degree and is currently in charge of the General Directorate of the Institute of Cultural Studies at Goethe Institute. For more than a decade, he has played a leading role in renewal of the cultural and artistic in Afghanistan. Therefore, the presidency of the Kabul University and the Faculty of Fine Arts have praised the program of appreciation and admiration of other personalities and scholars of science, culture and literature; this time for the fifth round; they admired the good character and performances of Ibrahim Hottak. At the end; a statue and a gift from the presidency of the Kabul University and the Fine Arts Faculty were awarded to him.
