The Special Program of "Eftari" was held among Students at Kabul University

A special program of "Eftar" was held between students on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, on Tuesday evening, May 24th/2019, at Kabul University. The program was hosted by the Presidency of Kabul University and the Students Union of the University. In this program Professor Hamidullah Farooqi Chancellor of Kabul University and Advisor of Chief Minister in Higher Education Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan; Vice-Chancellors of Kabul University, Mr. Mohammad Qasem Eliasi University professor and head of Elections in Complaints Commission, a number of honorable deans of the faculties, professors and students of dormitory of Kabul University were present.

The program began by recitation of a few verses of Quran Kareem. Then; Mr. Javeed Faroos the head of the Kabul University Students Union, talked about the goal of the program and the importance of consistency and unity among the students, sympathy and protection of values, unity and solidarity for the realization of deep national and Islamic ideals.

Meanwhile, Professor Hamidullah Farooqi Chancellor of Kabul University and Advisor of Chief Minister in Higher Education Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan; congratulated all the Muslims of the world on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and the students of the Kabul University and blessed month of Ramadan. On the other hand, Mr. Farooqi, while thanking the Kabul University Students Association for conducting this program, considered brotherhood and affiliation among the students and considered unacceptable any ethnic, language and religious orientations and interventions at the dormitory of Kabul University.

At the end; Mr. Farooqi pledged to address the challenges of the Kabul University dormitory, and called for greater cooperation among students in the development of the University and dormitory.

Then, Mr. Qassem Elyasi University professor, spokesman and commissioner of the Election Complaints Commission, and professor Mohammad Marof Hanif  from the Faculty of Islamic Law spoke about the issue through inviting students to unity, integrate, sympathize and co-exist.

Finally, this program ended with joint prayers and all the guests and students went to the mosque of Kabul University to serve their meals. The Students' Union, which was recently established in central dormitory, was officially opened by the chancellor of Kabul University, university deputies and chairman of the Union to start the Union's activities in dormitory.
