Prof.  Hamidullah Farooqi Chancellor of Kabul University and Senior Minister Adviser of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Higher Education Affairs visited ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, His Excellency Mr. Alimkhan Yessengeldiyev on Saturday 10th November 2018, in his office, and they both talked about academic affairs and other topics of interest. Mr. Shimakov Gali, Head of Cultural and Educational Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Prof. Mohammad Aaleem Farhad, Head of Fine Arts Faculty at Kabul University, and several professors and staff of the university also participated in the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof.  Hamidullah Farooqi Chancellor of Kabul University and Senior Minister Adviser of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Higher Education Affairs welcomed His Excellency Mr. Alimkhan Yessengeldiyev and his delegation in his office, and stated that friend country, Kazakhstan is one of good friends for Afghanistan, especially in the area of higher education and providing training for human resources. Kabul University Chancellor told that Kabul University, as the oldest and most prestigious institution in the country, has 21 faculties and 96 departments with 850 teachers, serving more than 23,500 students. Mr. Farooqi also mentioned the relations, cultural commonalities and good relations of both countries; Afghanistan and Kazakhstan, calling for the development of more academic relations between the universities and peoples of these two countries.

His Excellency Mr. Alimkhan Yessengeldiyev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Kabul, expressed his satisfaction at the presence of Kabul University, while expressing readiness to further cooperate with Kabul University, and he emphasized to further expand cooperation in the field of education and culture.

Kabul University Chancellor expressed his gratitude to friend country, Kazakhstan in various sectors, especially in the area of education and academic cadres with Afghanistan, and presented Kabul University Logo to honorable Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Kabul. Both sides introduced their responsible representatives to progress programs which are already planned and to gain the desired shared plans.

Then the Kazakhstani delegation visited Kabul University Fine Arts Faculty, and promised further cooperation with professors and administration of that faculty.
