"Physics without Borders" Seminar at Kabul University

This seminar was held on Saturday 24th March 2018 by the faculty of Physics with the presence of the Honorable Prof.  Hamidullah Farooqi Chancellor of Kabul University and Senior Minister Adviser of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Higher Education Affairs, Honorable Dr. Tafsera Hashemi, Kabul University Deputy of Student Affairs, Prof. Zalmai Ahmadzai, Dean of Physics  Faculty, Ms. Kata Shawa, the General Coordinator of the "Physics without Borders" Program, Dr. Anis Erfani, Coordinator of the " Physics without Borders " program in Iran, and Kabul University professors and students in Kabul University Central Auditorium and is scheduled to continue for two days in the Faculty of Physics.

The seminar began with recitation of several verses of Holy Quran and playing the national anthem of our beloved country, Afghanistan, then Prof. Karimullah Alamkhail, Vice President of Physics Faculty spoke about the activities and functions of the faculty. The faculty has 17 professors in three departments (Physics Theoretical, Nuclear Physics and the Electronic Physics Department) and are busy serving the students of that faculty, as well as conducting a scientific seminar in order to allow students and other participants to use it.

Prof.  Hamidullah Farooqi Chancellor of Kabul University and Senior Minister Adviser of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Higher Education Affairs, while welcoming the presence of all the participants in the program, expressed gratitude and appreciation for the leadership of that faculty and the professors who were hosting this seminar.

Kabul University Chancellor considered such scientific and research programs as important and necessary for scientific advocacy and value-added; science was the main focus of other sciences, all of which were related to everyday life.

Mr. Farooqi, while thanking the organizers and international associates for launching the program, also asked them to cooperate with this scientific center in future programs too.

At the end, Kabul University Chancellor, while thanking again the Physics Faculty for their the activities, demanded that Kabul University other faculties should also have such programs, and added that Kabul University always strives to provide opportunities for you and support your programs.

Ms. Kata Shawa, the Coordinator of the "Physics without Border" Program, Dr. Anis Erfani, Coordinator of the "Physics without Borders" program in Iran, Mr. Baktash Amini, lecturer at Faculty of Physics and the representative of Afghanistan at CERN and ICTP, was the other speakers of the event and they all spoke about the importance of this seminar, they also expressed their hope that the participants could use this program.

It should be noted that the "Physics without Border" program will be launched in Kabul University Central Auditorium and the launch of the seminars will be open for two days after the opening of the faculty.
