Kabul University’s Chancellor and Advisor Minister Met Pakistan’s Ambassador Sep 19, 2017

 

Professor Hamidullah Farooqi, Kabul University’s Chancellor and Advisor Minister on Higher Education to President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, met in his office Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Zahid Nasrullah Khan. Prof. Farooqi welcomed and thanked the aids have Pakistan made in building the educational institutions and capacities and the hectic efforts of the people of Pakistan in reconstruction and social areas.

Prof. Farooqi emphasized the importance of shared cultural values between the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Notably, he thanked the efforts of Pakistan in constructing Allama Iqbal (Muhammad Iqbal) building in Kabul University, and he said, ‘It is utmost important to improve the ties between both brotherly countries through didactic welfares activities’.

Ambassador Khan said, ‘We are here to pay more attention to the educational sector of Afghanistan in all required areas’. He also offered ten full-funded scholarships to Kabul University on master and doctorate level. ‘We need to put in practice all the efforts for strengthening our cultural, social, and educational ties through improving relations between the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan’, Khan said. He added, ‘We need to commence students’ educational and cultural exchange programs between both countries’.

Professor Hamidullah Farooqi, Kabul University’s Chancellor and Advisor Minister on Higher Education to President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, said, ‘We hope to materialize the ongoing efforts for exploiting the available opportunities between both nations’.

Ambassador Zahid Nasrullah Khan visited the Allama Iqbal Department of Fine Arts and pledged to fix all those areas need maintenance.
