Educational Program (The use of GIS and remote control for management of water resources in Afghanistan) during an official ceremony was launched in Geosciences Faculty at Kabul University

This ceremony was planned on Sunday, 5th of Sep 2017; was launched in Geosciences Faculty at Kabul University. Academic voice chancellor and acting chancellor of KU (Dr. M. Naim Azimi), Dean of Geosciences Faculty (Pohand Ab. Ghais Safi), representative of the ISIMUT Institute (Dr. Rajesh Bahadar), number of Deans of Faculties, Professors and students were participated.

The ceremony began with the recitation of verses of holly Quran Kareem. Then, Dean of Geosciences Faculty (Pohand Ab. Ghais Safi) welcomed the participants and said; this program is started by support of ISIMUT institute that 10 students of Geosciences Faculty, 15 staff members of the ministries would attend the program. This program is planned for 10 days. He also appreciated the support and coordination of the ISIMUT institute to organize this program.

Later, Academic voice chancellor and acting chancellor of KU (Dr. M. Naim Azimi), started his speech with congratulation of the Eid al-Adhah and welcomed the participants, and said; the lack of efficient water resources management in Afghanistan is one of the key challenges have led to unpredictable problems for the people. The academic voice chancellor of KU emphasized the importance of water resources management and stated that holding such programs is important for managing water resources. He added that ‘’ would like to express my satisfaction and respect, that Kabul University is hosting such programs and I hope to have such useful and important programs in KU in the future.

After that, representative of the ISIMUT Institute (Dr. Rajesh Bahadar) said: "I am pleased to be with my Afghan colleagues and glad to share our thoughts and ideas together" he said, "we work together to solve the problems of Afghanistan in this area, in order to achieve significant achievements in this regard’’.
